This is our 28th Fall Breakaway! Over the years the September trip has become a family affair, almost reunion-like in spirit. In fact, last year we had to turn down many of our “old faithfuls”. Many of the Fall Breakaway veterans have ridden on the majority of the fall rides.
The 2012 tour will center around the eastern part of Indiana and much of Ohio. An effort is being placed on finding enjoyable places to visit mixed with reasonable riding miles. Getting into camp each night and sharing the day’s memories is a highlight!
Transportation from Upland to the starting point will be provided, as well as the return trip to Upland. Those who wish to drive to the starting point will have a place to store their cars.
Hopefully, by the time you sign up we’ll have a better idea of the route.
The Wheels’ Kitchen-Retreat House will be open Friday, September 7, and Friday, September 14 for overnight lodging at the start and end of trip. As always, we will have great food, fellowship and surprises that only a week on the road can bring.

Trail Fee: $425
Non-refundable deposit: $100
The price includes:
- WHEELS’ transportation from Upland, IN, to starting point and back from ending point
- Team shirt
- Lodging, basic ground arrangements, staff, vehicles, etc.
- Ten (10) meals per riding week. Participants will be responsible to buy all other meals,
including meals en route when using WHEELS’ transportation.
Optional Expenses: (not included in trail fee)
- Bike rental - $50
- Daily spending money (over and above meals you must purchase)
- Bike repairs - All bike repair labor will be charged, and repair parts sold, at a fair price.
Please be prepared to pay for these when repairs are made.
